<p>As a Senior Cloud Developer, you will be a cornerstone of our Platform Engineering team, responsible for designing, building, and operating the critical infrastructure and services that power our entire product suite. Your role is a dynamic blend of hands-on software development and sophisticated infrastructure management. You will drive technical decisions, enhance our multi-cloud environment, and empower our feature teams by providing a stable, scalable, and efficient platform.</p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h3><p><strong>Cloud Infrastructure &amp; Automation</strong></p><ul><li>Design, deploy, and maintain our core infrastructure across GCP and Azure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).</li><li>Manage and scale our Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.</li><li>Administer and optimize our data services, including PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch clusters.</li><li>Develop and enhance our monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues, upholding our uptime SLAs.</li><li>Automate operational processes, including environment provisioning, backups, and disaster recovery.</li><li>Own production stability through a collaborative on-call rotation.</li></ul><p><strong>Platform Development &amp; Services</strong></p><ul><li>Contribute hands-on to the development of key platform services and internal tools using Python and Go.</li><li>Build and maintain shared libraries and services that provide core functionality like authentication, background job processing, and real-time communication.</li><li>Architect and implement robust, scalable solutions that serve the needs of multiple engineering teams.</li><li>Take ownership of services from design through to deployment and operational support.</li></ul><p><strong>Developer Experience &amp; DevOps</strong></p><ul><li>Champion DevOps best practices and continuously improve the Software Development Life Cycle for all engineers.</li><li>Develop and manage robust CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing, building, and deployment of services.</li><li>Evolve our local development environments to ensure developers can onboard and contribute efficiently.</li><li>Serve as a go-to expert for cloud architecture and DevOps practices, mentoring engineering teams.</li></ul><h3><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></h3><ul><li>7+ years of experience in a cloud engineering, DevOps, or software development role with a focus on infrastructure.</li><li>Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, particularly with Terraform.</li><li>Deep experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.</li><li>Proven experience managing production workloads in a major cloud provider (GCP or Azure).</li><li>Solid software architecture and development skills (Python, Go).</li><li>Hands-on experience managing databases (PostgreSQL) and other stateful services (Redis, Elasticsearch).</li><li>Familiarity with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.</li><li>A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a passion for building reliable and scalable systems.</li><li>Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written).</li><li>Bonus: Experience with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript) for building internal tools.</li></ul><h3><strong>What we offer:</strong></h3><ul><li>Join an early-stage, well-financed company</li><li>Advance Novisto’s purpose of contributing to the sustainability of the economy, environment, and society by empowering companies to make better decisions and disclosures through our ESG data management software</li><li>Shape the foundational platform that supports thousands of users globally, influencing technical decisions that will scale our SaaS for years to come.</li><li>Contribute your knowledge and insights to increase awareness and knowledge of sustainability</li><li>Generous health benefits (100% Insurance coverage &amp; access to Dialogue's telemedicine app)</li><li>Flexible schedules &amp; opportunity to work remotely</li><li>4 weeks of vacation</li><li>Stock option plan</li><li>Includes a paid annual on-call stipend, distributed with each paycheck.</li><li>All-year long summer hours</li><li>If you prefer to work at the office, we have a beautiful office in Old Montreal, close to downtown and steps away from a metro (subway) station</li></ul>
