AECOM is seeking a California Traffic Engineering State Manager to be based in Orange, Oakland, and Los Angeles, California.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Coordinates and provides technical expertise for mid- large-size projects.</li><li>Leads technical client relationships and plays a major role in selling.</li><li>Leads discipline department efforts to grow technical expertise.</li><li>Leads technical business development work.</li><li>Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.</li><li>Approves and signs off on work.</li><li>Leader in one or more areas of technology.</li><li>Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule a to meet requirements on large, complex projects.</li><li>Manage the traffic engineering staff on a daily basis throughout California</li><li>Lead traffic engineering projects and traffic design tasks throughout California</li><li>Lead marketing and proposal efforts for traffic engineering projects.</li><li>Be responsible for plan approvals for Caltrans and other major agencies.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to discuss projects with co-workers, clients, regulatory agency staff, AECOM staff, and the public in meetings and at public events as well as write concise and readable technical reports and documents</li><li>Supporting a wide range of traffic engineering projects for roadway, freeway, transit systems, managed lanes, bicycle and pedestrian facilities</li><li>Must be highly self-motivated with the ability to successfully multi-task, perform detail-oriented work, work independently, and demonstrate effective time management skills</li><li>Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered, apply innovative design solution, implementing current technology to meet project design needs</li><li>Provides guidance, mentor and coach to engineers, or technicians, to learn and improve their technical skills</li><li>Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule.</li><li>Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office programs and other relevant software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and preferable Project) Skilled in MicroStation and AutoCAD software</li></ul>
