Job DescriptionAECOM Mississauga is seeking a Senior Rail Bridge Engineer to provide owner’s advisory services for rail bridge structure projects from conceptual design through substantial completion. This role offers the opportunity to serve as a technical expert within an integrated project delivery team. The ideal candidate will bring advanced structural engineering expertise, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to excellence in infrastructure development. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement and requires co-location at our client's office in downtown Toronto at least 2-3 days per week. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Serve as a technical advisor and senior resource for bridge design and analysis, ensuring compliance with Canadian and international design standards.</li><li>Work with multidisciplinary teams in the design, assessment, and rehabilitation of major heavy rail and transit structures.</li><li>Provide specialized technical input on structural materials, construction methods, and engineering best practices.</li><li>Providing arm’s length quality assurance, ensuring the compliance of design calculations, drawings, and technical reports with standards and specifications.</li><li>Develop innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions, optimizing structural performance and longevity.</li><li>Prepare and review technical specifications, feasibility studies, and construction cost estimates.</li><li>Collaborate with clients, contractors, government agencies, and internal teams during project execution.</li><li>Contribute to the development of engineering budgets, project schedules, and resource planning to meet delivery milestones.</li><li>Provide mentorship and support junior engineers in a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.</li></ul>
