<div> <h3>Accounting Manager</h3>📍 Hunt Valley, MD | Full-Time | In-PersonWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our growing team at Solar Gaines. This role requires CPA-level bookkeeping expertise, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for managing Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions and will report directly to the Controller. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with experience in construction-related accounting, including AIA billing and contract management.<hr><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records</li><li>Reconcile general ledger accounts regularly</li><li>Handle invoicing, accounts receivable, and payment collection</li><li>Manage accounts payable and vendor payments</li><li>Track expenses and manage cost allocations</li><li>Assist with commercial insurance renewals and related documentation</li><li>Interpret and present financial reports with insights for management</li><li>Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline accounting procedures</li><li>Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and applicable laws</li><li>Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned</li></ul><hr><h3>Special Projects</h3><ul><li>Develop GL numbering schema for the chart of accounts</li><li>Create standardized checklists for month-end and year-end closings</li><li>Establish electronic file management and record retention protocols</li><li>Manage internal control documentation and compliance tracking</li></ul><hr><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA preferred)</li><li>Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally in construction or solar</li><li>Must have experience with:<ul><li>AIA billing</li><li>Lien waivers</li><li>Contracts and subcontracts</li></ul></li><li>Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software a plus</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting</li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines</li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills</li></ul><hr><h3>Why Join Solar Gaines?</h3><ul><li>💵 Competitive Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 based on experience</li><li>🏥 Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance</li><li>🌴 Paid Time Off: Holidays, vacation, and sick leave</li><li>💼 401(k) Plan: With 3% employer contribution</li><li>📈 Professional Growth: Paid training and career advancement opportunities</li></ul><hr><h3>Work Schedule</h3><ul><li>Monday to Friday</li><li>Day shift (8-hour shifts)</li><li>In-person work required at our Hunt Valley, MD 21031 office</li><li>Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate prior to starting</li></ul> </div>
