Your Role: We are looking for an experienced React Native App Developer (freelance) to join our product development team and help build high-quality, customer-facing applications that deliver WOW at every journey touchpoint. You’ll work closely with a cross-functional Scrum team including designers, backend engineers, and QA to create best-in-class mobile experiences for EV drivers.You’ll contribute to both the Fastned mobile app and in-car applications, with a focus on performance, usability, and delightful design. This role requires hands-on coding, problem-solving, and working without Expo, as our apps are built entirely in React Native with native components. Your overall responsibilities include:<ul><li>Develop, test, and review code for Fastned’s React Native applications. </li><li>Implement cross-platform mobile features with both React Native and native Android/iOS integrations.</li><li>Transform complex Figma designs into functional, polished UI components.</li><li>Refine feature requirements with the team to deliver high-impact solutions.</li><li>Improve product usability and contribute to our design system</li><li>Participate in scrum ceremonies and contribute to tech decision making</li></ul>Who we are looking for <ul><li>Minimum 3 years of experience with React Native.</li><li>Proficient in Next JS, React and Typescript.</li><li>Skilled in cross-platform mobile development using React Native, including native modules and APIs.</li><li>Ability to take complex designs from Figma and make the corresponding UI components.</li><li>Experience with React Query.</li><li>Familiarity with iOS Store and Google Play Store distribution.</li><li>Know-how with CI/CD tools such as Bitrise.</li><li>Experience with Jest for testing.</li><li>Experience with native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) development</li><li>Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and organized.</li><li>Problem-solver, innovative in finding and guiding development solutions.</li><li>Good communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Team player with a collaborative mindset.</li><li>Familiar with Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.</li><li>Interested in the energy transition and Fastned’s mission.</li></ul>Nice-to-haves:<ul><li>Experience with Maestro testing.</li><li>An app link from Google Play or Apple Store showcasing your work.</li><li>Experience with Apple Car Play/Android Auto development.
