Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the Staff Accountant will be supporting various tasks of the GL team. The successful candidate will prioritize efficiency and accuracy and has a flexible work style. </div><div> </div><div><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></div><div><ul><li>Preparation of journal entries during month-end close: </li><li>Amortization schedules for various types of prepaids, including, but not limited to, insurance, warranties and software as a service, </li><li>Journal entries for various types of accruals, including, but not limited to, warranty, professional services and other types of accruals.</li><li>Reclassification journal entries to ensure proper allocation to departments and locations.</li><li>Other journal entries in conjunction with the month-end close. </li><li>Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for the assigned accounts including investigation and resolution of reconciling differences.  </li><li>Ensure proper backup documentation is retained for account reconciliations and journal entries. </li><li>Assistance with month-end flux analysis. </li><li>Preparation of schedules for financial statement disclosures. </li><li>Ad hoc reporting and special projects. </li><li>Assistance with audit requests and inquiries from external auditors and other third parties. </li><li>Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies and procedures to support the rapid growth and expansion of the company. </li></ul></div><div><strong>Required Skills/Experience:  </strong></div><div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, CPA is a plus. </li><li>Minimum 1-2 years of accounting work experience. </li><li>Strong Excel skills (logical functions, nested formulas experience is a plus). </li><li>Experience working with an accounting software package (NetSuite proficiency is a plus). </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Deadline-oriented and excellent time management skills. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and highly organized. </li><li>Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment, with a sense of responsibility and urgency. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organization and with external customers. </li></ul></div><div>For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $70,000 USD to $80,000 USD.
