Provide detailed analysis, recommendations, and authorizations (where applicable) for counterparty credit ratings and credit limits AND recommend and implement proactive exposure management and mitigation strategies.</li><li>Monitoring the portfolio on a daily and periodic basis to actively manage over limit positions and ensure accurate exposure reporting for management use.</li><li>Developing and providing training as required to cross-functional partners to promote the understanding of the credit risk management program.</li><li>Providing input into Policy, Processes, and technology decisions impacting the Credit Risk group and where applicable, assist in the implementation of new business processes and procedures. In particular, assisting with the Middle Office transformation leveraging prior experience with credit systems, reporting and policy development.</li><li>Fostering collaborative relationships with external counterparties and peers to facilitate commercial relations, knowledge sharing, and bilateral contract negotiations. Work closely with the credit team and other internal groups (front office, supply chain, legal and documentations) to create a cohesive and effective work dynamic.</li><li>Participating in counterparty contract negotiations, which involves working cross-functionally with Front Office, Supply Chain, Legal and Documentation groups to ensure Capital Power agreement standards are maintained. Agreements include EEI, GasEDI, ISDAs, purchase and sale agreements, and supply agreements.</li><li>Effectively and appropriately communicating with management, internal customers and external counterparties.</li><li>Ensuring effective risk management practices by keeping informed of industry standards and addressing any material gaps.
