POSITION SUMMARY:  The Vice President, Operations Support - Environmental Solutions (ES) is responsible for providing leadership, oversight and coordination to the field for all  our field services and waste solutions operations in support our hazardous and non-hazardous waste, . The position oversees complex data analysis of operational effectiveness, return analyses, functional standardization, and optimization capability, as well as policy and procedure development and implementation. In addition, the Vice President, Operations Support ES is responsible for effectively managing the development and implementation of corporate-wide for operational and customer solutions that support the organization’s business strategy. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Manages the ES operations support team, including overseeing hiring, on-boarding, development and performance management.</li><li>Directs cross-functional strategic teams in creating metrics and dashboards that will allow the group to  analyze and evaluate operational and financial data to determine operational alignment, return on investment and other required information; identifies favorable/unfavorable trends, as well as opportunities to reduce operating costs across the organization; prepares operational and financial reports regarding short- and long-term strategy for senior leadership team (e.g., SVPs and Executive Council ).</li><li>Responsible for collaborating with the  broader Operations Support and other cross functional teams to develop the strategy, prioritize the efforts, and partner on field deployment to drive operations transformations initiatives.</li><li>Leads  ES Operations Support Team which include Environmental Solutions Engineering, Waste Profile Approvals, Strategic Sourcing and Injection Wells to evaluate current business operations and proposed innovations for improved efficiencies, strategic planning and goal setting, and presentation of results to senior management.</li><li>Reviews analyses of monthly, quarterly and year-over-year (YOY) cost, margin and volume trends prior the submission to senior leadership.</li><li>Reviews and approves recommendations on strategies to improve performance, increase volume trends and increase margins.</li><li>Monitors field performance and collaborates with Area teams to provide support and expertise to help drive improvements.</li><li>Conducts site visits to identify opportunity for improvement based on knowledge and evaluation of best practices; approves recommendations for changes in operational processes and procedures.</li><li>Oversees the coordination of operational plans and programs, including but not limited to Blue Crew, emergency response and disaster recovery efforts, and acquisition and contract start-up(s).</li></ul> QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Experience in the Environmental Services Industry, preferably hazardous waste.</li><li>Prior experience leading and directing cross-functional teams, using influence instead of authority to support team decision-making processes, and fostering an environment of healthy team debate and collaboration.</li><li>Strong customer services skills to support internal stakeholders.</li><li>Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, make data driven recommendations and evaluate P&amp;L impact.</li><li>Strategic thinking and results-driven mindset.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and presentation skills, with ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to effectively lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams at all levels to achieve common goals.</li><li>Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Direct management experience of a large division, preferably in a Fortune 500 company.</li><li>Experience presenting to senior management and an executive level leadership council.</li></ul> MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible management experience.</li></ul>This position is based at Republic Service's headquarters in Phoenix, AZ.
