This role will involve you in real-time data collection, data interpretation and visualization and performing spatial operations on geospatial data for natural catastrophe monitoring. You will use this data to support decision-making and analyze the impacts of natural catastrophes such as floods. Working with diverse datasets, you will utilize a variety of GIS software and tools to extract meaningful insights and provide effective solutions. Collaboration is key, as you'll be working with multidisciplinary teams across different time zones. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and GIS skills, a passion for disaster analysis and/or management, excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, good communication skills, and adaptability to working with different time zones. As a GIS Operational Analyst, your daily tasks will be:<ul> <li>Responsible for activation, verification and delivery of the analysis output to the customers in accordance with SOP while adhering to the established service level agreement</li> <li>Actively participates in live operations, conducting real-time flood analysis and delivery activities while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders</li> <li>Contributes to meeting and exceeding KPIs. Monitors metrics and contributes to KPI reviews. Keeps tools updated with accurate information about progress and status</li> <li>Follows standard process and procedures to ensure quality and consistency of the product. </li> <li>Manages own workload effectively, cooperates with the Solutions Delivery Manager on planning the work. </li> <li>Proactively raises issues and suggests resolutions, resolves small scale operational issues independently</li> <li>Provides updates on progress, issues, help needed, and communicates with the team effectively on the tasks.
