Summary

 

We are seeking a Senior NVH CAE Engineer.

Our drivetrain products cover traction motors, generators, geartrain, and integrated motor/inverter/gearbox systems, as well as some other e-powertrain subsystems including battery packs. The team is responsible for new technology creation and new product development.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop component level and system level FEA models and perform extensive simulations.
  • Support component and system testing to correlate CAE models and improve the material database and model accuracy.
  • Perform NVH and durability CAE including structural responses, linear/non-linear analysis and fatigue calculation. Perform design optimizations.
  • Through modeling and CAE analysis provide guidance to design engineers to meet product specifications. The candidate may also perform mechanical design and material specification.
  • Support product testing, system integration and manufacturing of powertrain components and systems. Support issue troubleshooting and resolution.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field and a minimum of two (2) years of industry experience in CAE.
  • Deep experience with FEA tools such as SimLab, Hypermesh, ANSYS, NASTRAN, LS-DYNA.
  • Extensive experience with CAD software such as Catia, Solidworks.
  • Familiar with high performance computing and programming languages.
  • Preferred to have project experience with electric machines, geartrains, electric vehicles.
