We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, the Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for rapid prototyping and testing as well as the transition of prototypes to scaled production. Additionally, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for novel recycling technologies design and will orchestrate tests based on defined metrics and success criteria.    

As our Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will:

  • Work in a team of 3 engineers on fast-moving, rapidly evolving R&D autonomous recycling products
  • Test, validate, and iterate designs to meet strict performance requirements
  • Regularly collaborate with software engineers to achieve desired results
  • Rapidly prototype proof-of-concept designs
  • Develop products from a prototype phase to larger-scale production

Your background and experience will likely include:

  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent combination of technical experience and work experience
  • 3+ years of industry experience
  • A strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
  • The ability to design products and build teams for scaling while taking ownership of your duties
  • Strong hands-on skills for building and testing prototypes
  • The ability to learn complicated concepts quickly

    • Passion and experience with robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence 
    • Experience being a part of the process of helping a start-up succeed

Salary & compensation information: $105,000 - 129,000 based on experience. 

Benefits information:

  • Medical - The company covers up 85% to 100% of the premium for Cigna healthcare plans depending on the selection. Employees pay the difference in premium if they select a more expensive plan. Up to 75% for dependents. 
  • 401(k) retirement plan (non-matching).
  • Seven (7) paid holidays – 7 company designated and 2 floating holidays. (salaried employees only)
  • Referral bonuses for staff positions.
  • Paid Vacation Leave – Accrues at a rate of ~4.67 hours (0.58 days) per pay period (2 weeks) starting day 1. Unused PTO carries over each year with a 1-year limit.
  • Paid Sick Leave – 64 hours per year, given in full on start date, refreshes on anniversary.
