THE ROLEThe Commercial Analyst role sits within the Commercial team at WiseEnergy and plays a critical role in managing contractual obligations, revenue streams, and regulatory compliance for a portfolio of renewable energy assets in Iberia. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in contract management, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs), Land lease agreements, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractsa and Operations &amp; Maintenance (O&amp;M) contracts.This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Commercial Manager, with flexible working arrangements available from our Madrid office or remotely.While the primary focus is on assets in the Iberia market, the role also supports WiseEnergy’s broader international portfolio.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Lead the management of commercial contracts, including PPAs, SPAs, leases, EPC contracts, O&amp;M contracts, and market representation agreements, ensuring compliance, timely renewals, and alignment with project objectives.</li><li>Draft, review, and issue formal contractual communications and notices, and manage resolution of non-compliance issues.</li><li>Oversee the contract lifecycle, including onboarding of new sites, extraction of key terms, and integration into WiseEnergy’s contract management system.</li><li>Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and licensing requirements, coordinating with internal teams and external advisors to maintain project integrity and legal standing.</li><li>Support the development and continuous improvement of internal contract management processes and tools.</li><li>Coordinate with the technical and finance teams to ensure contractual obligations are clearly understood and met across departments.</li><li>Prepare revenue budgets and forecasts, and support the development of asset operating budgets.</li><li>Ensure regulatory compliance through timely data submissions and coordination with external advisors.</li><li>Manage insurance renewals and claims, and maintain relationships with landowners and other stakeholders.</li><li>Support ESG compliance and reporting requirements.</li><li>Contribute to the development of annual Asset Operating Plans with a focus on contractual performance and obligations.</li><li>Approve invoices related to contractual obligations and ensure alignment with agreed terms.</li><li>Participate in ad hoc commercial and contract-related projects.</li></ul>SKILLS &amp; COMPETENCIESTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:<ul><li style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);">Time management &amp; prioritization skills - things can get a little hectic, so the ability to effectively manage yourself and your workload is critical.</li><li style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);">Excellent communication skills (in English or/and other European languages) - you must be able to organize your thoughts in a way that others find clear and compelling.
