<h2>Overview</h2>We are designing the grid of the future!  The Distribution Planning Engineer (Staff I or II) will work closely with the ENER-I software development team to design, test, and validate platform capabilities and applications. This will involve computer modelling, analyses, reporting, and presentations related to various elements of distribution systems. Successful candidates will:• work with multi-faceted teams from various technical backgrounds• display excellent communication skills, particularly pertaining to complex engineering topics• quickly learn new skills and tools, and employ multi-disciplinary concepts across engineering, power systems, statistics, and software to create cutting-edge applications <h2>Responsibilities</h2>How you can make an impact:• Provide support to ENER-I team on electrical theory, distribution planning problem-solving, and other technical subject matters.• Perform classic distribution planning studies with ENER-i and provide feedback to identify gaps, issues to enable the platform to perform studies including load growth projections based on historical trends, power flow studies, planning criteria mitigation studies, and alternative analysis.• Support customer engagement by providing technical insight.
