Position SummaryThe Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organizations assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.Essential Functions/Key Deliverables <ul><li>Perform general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.</li><li>Conduct weekly check runs and cash flow forecasting on a weekly basis.</li><li>Oversee and process employee expense reports according to company travel policy.</li><li>Track and process deposits on capital projects for both CANPACK US locations. Reconcile capital projects monthly.</li><li>Assist with Month End Close/Balance Sheet Reconciliations.</li><li>Assist with annual budgeting activities.</li><li>Prepare periodic reports and statistical analysis reflecting financial results, labor, overhead and KPI's.</li><li>Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.</li><li>Management of the Company’s Fixed Assets to include additions, disposals, and depreciation.</li><li>Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.</li><li>Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role. </li></ul>Knowledge/Skills/Experience<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>Five or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.</li><li>Strong analytical skills, ability to draw conclusions from data.</li><li>High level of proficiency with MS Excel required.</li><li>Strong critical-thinking skills with a solution-oriented mindset. Ability to prioritize work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and organization.</li><li>Strong understanding of GAAP</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li><li>Knowledge of SAP a plus.</li><li>Ability to function both independently and as part of a team</li></ul>Physical Demands N (Not Applicable) Activity is not applicable to this position.
