The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements and manufacturing cost reporting and analysis.Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.</li><li>Assist in managing the month-end close and financial reporting processes.</li><li>Participate in the year-end financial statement audit through effectively responding to specific requests and inquiries from the external audit team.</li><li>Establish and maintain the company’s account management procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.</li><li>Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and other departments to ensure financial data integrity.</li><li>Monitor financial integrity and compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies and regulations.</li><li>Estimate costs of operating plans and then develop budget and forecasts during the annual budget development cycle.</li><li>Train and mentor junior accounting staff to build a strong and capable team.</li><li>Participate in other strategic finance, account, and business projects if needed.</li></ul>Qualifications and Experience:<ul><li>College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Progress toward Certified Public Accountant or similar certification preferred.</li><li>6+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of US GAAP as well as risks and controls.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office with demonstrated expertise in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
