The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing high-quality products and simulations, particularly in Unreal Engine. As a senior team member, you will oversee the technical development, guide the project, and shape the simulation roadmap.</p><h2><strong><span>Responsibilities:</span></strong><span> </span></h2><ul><li>Lead the technical development of our in-house simulation platform using Unreal Engine.</li><li>Collaborate closely with engineering teams to enhance simulation capabilities.</li><li>Work with design and UI/UX teams to develop next-generation user interfaces</li><li>Create simulation scenarios for training users in the operation of our systems.</li></ul><h2><strong><span>Basic Qualifications:</span></strong></h2><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. </li><li>Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming). </li><li>5+ years of game development experience, with at least 3 years using Unreal Engine (UE4 or later). </li><li>Proven track record of contributing to one or more shipped AA/AAA games or equivalent. </li><li>Strong understanding of server-client architecture and network optimization for multiplayer games. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead a development team, including mentoring junior developers.  </li><li>Proficiency in C++ and Blueprint scripting, with familiarity with Python. </li><li>Familiarity with game development processes, including working with design, development, production, and QA  </li><li>Excellent troubleshooting skills and a passion for overcoming technical challenges</li></ul><h2><span>Preferred Skills and Experience:</span></h2><ul><li>Previous experience with cross-disciplinary engineering projects </li><li>Military service or defense industry experience  </li><li>A background in mathematical simulation or training software development</li></ul><h2><span><span>Additional Requirements:</span></span><span> </span></h2><ul><li><span>This is an onsite position based at our Torrance Headquarters. </span><span> </span></li></ul><p><strong>ITAR REQUIREMENTS:</strong> </p><ul><li>To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
