The opportunitydcbel is looking to hire a Software Quality Assurance Specialist to work in our growing team. The successful candidate will play an important role in defining and executing test plans of Web, mobile and backend applications and services of our ChorusTM platform. Main responsibilities<ul><li>Review requirements and specifications to understand the product features.</li><li>Design comprehensive test cases based on business and functional requirements.</li><li>Identify and document test scenarios for manual testing.</li><li>Execute test cases manually across different platforms and environments.</li><li>Log defects in a bug-tracking system (e.g., Azure DevOps).</li><li>Perform regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and ad-hoc testing.</li><li>Clearly document bugs with steps to reproduce, screenshots, and environment details.</li><li>Communicate bugs to developers and collaborate to resolve them.</li><li>Re-test fixed defects and close bugs after validation.</li><li>Work closely with developers and other QA engineers.</li><li>Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings.</li><li>Maintain test cases and test data.</li><li>Create and update QA documentation including test plans, checklists, and reports.</li><li>Provide feedback to improve the QA process and product quality.</li><li>Identify areas for automation or tool improvement if applicable.</li><li>Share knowledge of QA best practices and tools. </li></ul> Key requirements<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Relevant certifications (optional but advantageous), such as ISTQB Foundation Level or Certified Software Tester (CSTE).</li><li>3+ years of hands-on experience in manual software testing.</li><li>Experience testing Web and/or mobile applications.</li><li>Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.</li></ul> Bonus skills <ul><li>Bilingual English and French </li></ul> Profile<ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.</li><li>Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC). </li><li>Proficiency in using test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).</li><li>Familiarity with databases and ability to write basic SQL queries.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an Agile environment.</li><li>Basic understanding of automation tools or willingness to learn.</li><li>Exposure to API testing using tools like Postman.</li><li>Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li></ul> What's in it for you<ul><li>Be part of a company that is backed by numerous globally respected investors and has world-changing patents in an industry changing for the first time in history.</li><li>Grow your professional experience amongst blue chip partners and a close-knit team of committed and experienced energy experts who deeply care about the work they do.</li><li>Full benefits package including Health insurance, Health virtual care, employee stock options plan (ESOP) and flexible hours.
