This person would work across teams to design end-to-end metallic and composite components for next-gen aircraft and peripherals. This person would also work to develop tooling, both internally and with external vendors, and support layup of first article components to inform production.</span></div><br><br><h3>How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:</h3><ul><li>Design using CAD, managing all parts in detailed assemblies including composites with associated manufacturing models and tooling</li><li>Work with internal and external fabricators to see parts through manufacturing</li><li>Integration of different systems installed within the aircraft structure</li><li>Good understanding of aircraft material systems requirements and associated tooling</li><li>Create assembly and part level drawings, technical data packages, and BOMs</li><li>Follow Design, Review, and Change processes, and assist in process improvements</li><li>Develop and build first article components, assemble prototypes and run experiments to inform future designs</li><li>Mentoring team members, and coordinating agile team goals and timelines</li><li>Participate in cross-functional design reviews</li><li>Development of scalable manufacturing processes in parallel with product design</li></ul><h3>Minimum Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Supplier management and development for R&amp;D composite tooling + parts</li><li>Dedicated supply chain support proxy for R&amp;D composite tooling</li><li>Layup of first article components and working with vendors (internal and external) on layup methodology development</li><li>Experience with various machine shop tools: lathe, mill, welder, machining of composite</li><li>Development of material systems for Aerospace applications with emphasis on low cost prototype pathways including out of autoclave</li></ul><br><div><span style="font-size:18px;"><b>Build electric airplanes with us!</b></span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">We encourage all driven candidates to apply, even if they do not meet every listed qualification.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">We are an equal opportunity employer.
