This individual plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance and integrity of fixed assets records through the asset lifecycle.What you’ll doBecome part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck &amp; rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:<ul><li>Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset ledger, ensuring accurate classification, capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of assets.</li><li>Ensure timely and accurate accounting for asset impairments, write-offs, and revaluations in compliance with IFRS.</li><li>Monitor capital projects (CIP) and ensure timely capitalization in compliance with accounting policies and procedures.</li><li>Monitor Assets under Construction (AuC) to ensure accurate cost accumulation, appropriate classification, and timely transfer to fixed assets upon project completion.</li><li>Review, track and ensure compliance with IFRS and company policies for development capitalization</li><li>Collaborate with operations, engineering, finance and procurement to track asset acquisitions and ensure accurate cost allocation.</li><li>Conduct periodic physical inventory audits of fixed assets and investigate discrepancies.</li><li>Serve as the point of contact for Scout departments for asset advice and questions</li><li>Prepare and post monthly depreciation and other asset-related journal entries.</li><li>Support financial reporting by preparing schedules and analyses for internal and external audits.</li><li>Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies, and regulatory requirements related to fixed assets.</li><li>Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements, controls, and best practices for asset management.</li><li>Participate in ERP system upgrades and configuration related to the fixed asset module.</li><li>Provide reporting and insights to management regarding capital spending, asset utilization, and asset retirement.</li></ul> Location &amp; Travel Expectations: <ul><li>This role will be based out of the future Scout Motors corporate headquarters, which is anticipated to be identified in 2025. This role may be remote to start but will transition to an in-office setting at the headquarters after the location is determined and you are expected to relocate at such time.
