This new cross-functional role will play a critical part in building scalable systems that ensure accountability, meet evolving regulatory demands, and support strategic partnerships. You’ll work across departments including Finance, Construction, Supply Chain, HR, and Legal, helping the company stay ahead of compliance obligations and audit readiness.This role will have a strong focus on ensuring compliance with Prevailing Wage and Apprenticeship (PWA) requirements tied to tax credits and public incentives.Responsibilities:Internal Compliance &amp; Readiness<ul><li>Track and manage internal data and documentation necessary for audit preparedness—including tax credit compliance (e.g., ITC) and Local Law 97 (LL97) obligations.</li><li>Own and maintain a central compliance tracker across projects and departments to monitor deadlines, documentation needs, and remediation tasks.</li><li>Lead the Prevailing Wage and Apprenticeship (PWA) review process: assess certified payroll reports, apprenticeship participation data, and subcontractor compliance; identify discrepancies, escalate issues, and ensure corrective actions are completed.</li><li>Develop and implement tools, templates, and dashboards that track ongoing PWA obligations across all active and future projects.</li></ul>External Reporting &amp; Third-Party Requests<ul><li>Prepare and submit responses to third-party compliance or information requests from financiers, governmental agencies, partners, and rating bodies.</li><li>Ensure all submissions are accurate, timely, and consistent with internal records and applicable standards.</li><li>Proactively manage required reporting to agencies related to PWA compliance, ensuring eligibility for tax credits and incentive programs.</li></ul>Policy Development &amp; SOP Ownership<ul><li>Support the development and documentation of internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).</li><li>Partner with functional leaders to ensure SOPs are adopted, up to date, and embedded into daily workflows.</li><li>Establish best practices for record keeping, version control, and audit documentation across teams.</li></ul>Risk Management &amp; Continuous Improvement<ul><li>Monitor changes in local, state, and federal compliance requirements, and proactively assess their impact on company operations.</li><li>Establish internal monitoring processes and partner with external auditors as needed.</li><li>Identify risks or process gaps and drive appropriate corrective actions.</li><li>Serve as subject matter expert on regulatory shifts impacting PWA requirements, including Department of Labor updates and IRS guidance tied to clean energy tax credits.</li></ul>Training &amp; Culture of Compliance<ul><li>Design and deliver internal training on compliance protocols and reporting responsibilities.</li><li>Promote a company-wide culture of integrity, transparency, and compliance excellence.</li><li>Deliver targeted training for project managers, HR, and subcontractors on Prevailing Wage, certified payroll, and apprenticeship utilization, ensuring all stakeholders understand their obligations.</li></ul>Other duties as assigned.Core Competencies:<ul><li>Collaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.</li><li>Drives Results - Constantly achieving results, even under tough circumstances.</li><li>Interpersonal Savvy - Relating openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people.</li><li>Manages Ambiguity - Operating effectively, even when things are not certain or the way forward is not clear.</li><li>Nimble Learning - Actively learning through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both success and failures as learning fodder</li><li>Plans and Aligns - Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.</li><li>Tech Savvy - Anticipating and adopting innovations in business-building digital and technology applications.</li></ul>Required education and experience:<ul><li>5+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs, ideally in renewable energy, infrastructure, construction, or a similarly complex industry.</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing regulatory compliance programs and/or internal audit processes in sectors such as energy, construction, infrastructure, or government contracting.</li><li>Proven ability to manage complex documentation and reporting processes, including tracking deadlines, preparing third-party submissions, and ensuring audit readiness.</li><li>Direct, hands-on experience managing Prevailing Wage and Apprenticeship compliance, including certified payroll review, apprenticeship program coordination, and reporting tied to tax incentives (e.g., ITC).</li><li>Strong knowledge of internal controls, SOP development, and cross-departmental coordination to ensure compliance adoption and follow-through.</li><li>Experience working with or responding to external auditors, financiers, legal teams, or public agencies.</li><li>Familiarity with risk management frameworks and continuous improvement methodologies.</li><li>Ability to build and maintain systems for record keeping, document versioning, and process accountability.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with experience delivering training or compliance education to internal stakeholders.</li></ul>Preferred education and experience:<ul><li>Experience working in clean energy, utilities, public infrastructure, or with government-funded projects (e.g., projects eligible for ITC or other tax incentives).</li><li>Background in risk management, controls auditing, or GRC (Governance, Risk &amp;
