You may bring hands-on experience in the field or be looking to step into a more senior or lead capacity in time. You'll be responsible for operating and monitoring chemical production equipment, supporting separation and purification processes, maintaining production efficiency, and ensuring safety and quality standards. We welcome candidates with varying levels of experience in chemical or process manufacturing who are committed to operational excellence and safety. Responsibilities Key Duties<ul><li>Operate and monitor chemical production equipment, including pumps, valves, reactors, filters, and control systems, to ensure the smooth operation of the chemical line.</li><li>Monitor and test process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, and levels to ensure compliance with established standards and make necessary adjustments as required.</li><li>Conduct regular inspections and maintenance activities on equipment to ensure their proper functioning and report any malfunctions or abnormalities.</li><li>Maintain an organised production area and manage workflow.</li><li>Monitor and control the chemical process from start to finish, including raw material intake, mixing, reaction, purification and crystallisation.</li><li>Maintain and report accurate records of production and R&amp;D data, including batch numbers, quantities produced, equipment settings, and any deviations from the standard operating procedures and/or the testing methods.</li><li>Perform quality control tests on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality specifications and take corrective actions as necessary.</li><li>Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, spills, and other incidents. Report any safety concerns to the supervisor and the WHS officer immediately.</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe working environment which includes ensuring all equipment is washed down or packed away at the end of each task or shift.</li><li>Collaborate with other team members, such as engineers, maintenance technicians, and quality assurance personnel, to perform research and development, troubleshoot issues and improve process efficiency.</li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvement and make recommendations to optimise productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.</li><li>Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) and Dangerous Goods (DG) handling and ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, such as environmental regulations and quality standards.</li></ul> Skills and Competencies<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
