Initiative, active listening skills and adaptability are key success factors for the HR Generalist at ERMCO.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Coach managers and employees on employee relations issues</li> <li>Lead and assist as necessary in investigation of and proper disposition of associate concerns</li> <li>Address employee issues through appropriate interpretation and administration of company policies.</li> <li>Conduct new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.</li> <li>Manage employment- related inquiries from applicants, employees, and leaders, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.</li> <li>Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.</li> <li>Coordinate post-employment processes including job offers, background checks, drug screens, physicals, candidate notification, and start date</li> <li>Assist in policy/procedure communication, guidance, and related education activities to ensure HR policies, practices, and procedures are understood and consistently applied.</li> <li>Maintain employee information in HRIS including insurance coverage, pension plan, salary increase, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations</li> <li>Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation</li> <li>Ensure all documentation is maintained in the HRIS system</li> <li>Review timesheets to ensure accuracy and consistency</li> <li>Administer job bid process while ensuring consistency with internal candidates</li> <li>Support special projects within the company</li> <li>Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices, review policies and practices to maintain compliance.</li> <li>Support efforts to ensure compensation and payroll activities are facilitated effectively</li> <li>Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.</li> <li>Fully utilize HRIS systems and drive implementation of self-service programs and initiatives enabling employees to become more self-sufficient</li> <li>Other duties may be assigned</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred</li> <li>Minimum 3 years of relevant HR experience </li> <li>Employee relations experience is preferred</li> <li>SHRM-CP/PHR a plus</li> <li>MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Teams)</li> <li>Ability to display a cooperative attitude, collaborate with work teams, and display a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges</li> <li>Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail and adaptable to change.</li> <li>Anticipates and follows through on individual employee needs as well as maintains confidentiality</li> <li>Excellent judgement and problem-solving and skills with a strong understanding of best practices and current regulations specific to HR.</li></ul><p>Join ERMCO and TRANSFORM your career.</p>
