Job Description
Who We Are:
Resonant Link envisions a world with untethered batteries to electrify the future of work, logistics, transportation, and patient care, enabling a healthier, more sustainable future. Our innovative, world-class team focuses on transforming wireless charging to:
- Power fleets while they work: integrating our fast, wireless chargers into the stops that already exist during fleet operation (think pick stations for robots or loading docks for forklifts)
- Eliminate drivelines and battery replacement surgeries, for patients, forever: integrating our fast, efficient, and tiny wireless chargers into active, implantable medical devices like neurostimulators, pumps, and pacemakers.
Our globally, distributed team has quadrupled in less than a year to power mission-critical applications for multiple Fortune 500 companies and government agencies, and we're just getting started.
About the Role:
- You will work as an intern in Resonant Link’s Burlington, VT lab, learning from world class power electronics and magnetics engineers about our groundbreaking technology.
- You will have the chance to contribute your technical skills towards accelerating development of our wireless chargers. Potential projects could include:
- Building and tuning MSRS coils for use in critical implantable medical device chargers
- Testing prototype power electronics for our 20kW lift truck charger, and integrating these with high power custom magnetics to show full system capability
- Building proof-of-concept wireless charging subsystems for consumer electronics products to demonstrate the advantages of Resonant Link technology
- Contributions will vary depending on team needs and the presented qualifications/experience of each intern.
- The internship experience is a growth opportunity for the intern as well as Resonant Link. After an intensive learning period, the ideal candidate will become an individual technical contributor with the ability to own a project and help achieve Resonant Link’s mission.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing either a graduate or undergraduate degree in electrical engineering or a similar field
- Willingness to learn, as well as curiosity and ambition to develop technical skills related to wireless charging systems
- Experience working on technical projects with a team, either in an academic or previous internship setting
- Preferred: previous coursework in power electronics or magnetics
- Must have up-to-date vaccinations for COVID-19 and use a mask while on-site (mask requirement subject to change as the COVID-19 pandemic evolves)
Benefits
- This is a paid internship opportunity.
