AECOM is seeking a Design and Construction Support Lead for one of our offices in Sacramento, CA.SUMMARY:The Design and Construction Support Lead directs and manages the tasks associated with civil design criteria development, special technical studies, final design and construction support, preliminary engineering support, and procurement engineering support. The Design and Construction Support Lead coordinates with Structural, Seismic, Geotechnical, Surveying, and Tunneling leads and relevant branches and stakeholders to update the civil engineering design related chapters for future procurement reference. Design and Construction Support Lead provides technical review and support to the various projects including preliminary engineering, detail designs, and constructions.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Directs and contributes to Civil Design Criteria development for Civil related subjects such as railway embankments, roads, drainage, grading, utilities, etc.</li><li>Provides technical support with planning, permitting, environmental and ROW investigations</li><li>Assesses studies to support design criteria development, third party agreements, and others as necessary</li><li>Assist in the development of scope, delivery schedule and cost estimates related to civil engineering</li><li>Monitors progress and schedule of deliverables</li><li>Coordinates with Project Construction Management (PCM) and System Assurance team to ensure the required design and review procedures, V&amp;V process, and system interfaced requirements specified in GP and PCM manual are followed</li><li>Supervises the team to perform the review for civil technical contract submittals</li><li>Assists in response of Requests for Information (RFIs) and Design Variance Requests (DVRs)</li><li>Provides updates of design requirements and technical documents to support the preliminary designs for obtaining approval of environmental clearance application.</li><li>Performs review of the preliminary and detail design submittals, facilities, and stations</li><li>Assists in the development of Standard Special Provisions to the standard specifications</li></ul>
