The position is based in Batesburg, SC.</div><div></div><div>This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient material flow and production alignment across a dynamic manufacturing environment. Following recent organizational changes, the position now includes full responsibility for post-placement Purchase Order (PO) management, significantly expanding its operational impact.Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop and manage production schedules that align with customer demand, inventory goals, and manufacturing capacity.</li><li>Oversee post-placement PO activities:<ul><li>Expedite critical materials to meet production deadlines.</li><li>Adjust delivery schedules in response to evolving production needs.</li><li>Resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with Finance and Procurement.</li><li>Address receiving issues and coordinate with warehouse and suppliers.</li></ul></li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to ensure timely material availability and issue resolution.</li><li>Monitor and respond to material shortages, lead time fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions.</li><li>Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning efficiency and supply chain agility.</li><li>Maintain ERP system accuracy related to material planning and cost standards.</li></ul>Required skills/experience: <ul><li>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Supply Chain related position, ideally in a low-volume, high-mix production environment.</li><li>Proficiency in MRP/ERP Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) ideally SAP.</li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and solve complex problems.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft 365, with a strong emphasis on Excel for data analysis, scheduling, and reporting.</li><li>Familiarity with Power BI is a plus for creating dashboards and visualizing production and inventory metrics.</li><li>Familiarity with Power Automate is a plus, especially for streamlining planning workflows and automating routine tasks such as expediting.</li><li>Experience in the railroad or heavy industrial sector is highly desirable.</li></ul>Education:Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or a business related field or equivalent experienceLanguage: EnglishBenefits  Hitachi Rail employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including Competitive Pay, Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Short &amp; Long Term Disability, Life &amp; Accident Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, a Retirement Savings Plan, and Paid Vacation.
