Company Founded in Berlin, autarc is a 35+ person start-up who were part of Y Combinator’s S24 batch in San Francisco. Our team consists of people in Sales, Tech and Operations, with the Engineering &amp; Product department currently 20 people, as we continue to grow throughout the year. Role description You will be working alongside our Lead Engineer as part of a small team focusing on specific product features for our Heating product. This will mean enhancing the OS for our core customer market. As an Engineer within the team, you will be exposed to working on something 0-1, as the second person in the UK (supported by a wider team in Berlin). You’ll be continuously involved in decision making, as opposed to having narrow and machine-like tasks in a larger organisation.  This work will consist of building UI links and widgets, mapping out data and correlating systems so that they work seamlessly. Other examples of features includes allowing users to import and export 3D scans and renders, handling billing/invoicing, as well as managing their subscriptions.  Other responsibilities will include: <ul><li>Creating Frontend applications in React</li><li>Focusing on flawless Frontend designs and UI</li><li>Interacting with the Design team to improve UX</li><li>Be hands-on in designing, coding and testing cycles for both existing and new features</li><li>Develop B2B SaaS applications</li><li>Have a high level of responsibility to turn ideas into performant and reliable code</li></ul>The role is Fullstack, with a 80/20 split between Frontend &amp; Backend. With autarc we are building the leading heat pump OS for HVAC installers in Europe to accelerate the transition to low carbon homes. Heating with gas and oil accounts for 30% of Europe's CO2 emissions, and we are at the forefront of combating this environmental concern. The problem: Installers are eager to install more heat pumps but are hindered by a broken installation process. Our solution leverages LiDAR technology and AI to cut the overall project time of heat pump installations by 50%. We integrate a CRM, planning, and design tool into an all-in-one platform. By capturing hundreds of data points in minutes rather than hours, we empower installers to confidently shift their business to the right technology &ndash; heat pumps.
