Uses CAD to update and maintain utility infrastructure as-built plans.  EQUIPMENT AND/OR SOFTWARE OPERATED/USED: The following are examples only and are not intended to be all inclusive:Computer, plotter, scanner, laptop, Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office 365.INHERENTLY HAZARDOUS OR PHYSICALLY DEMANDING WORKING CONDITIONS:  None. Note:  In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this is considered sedentary work.JOB DESCRIPTION AND WORKER CHARACTERISTICS:JOB DUTIES in order of importanceESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:50% (1) Provide routine to complex assistance on engineering projects received relative to developments, capital improvement projects, utilities, and other engineering projects on MWCD property; may assist MWCD staff with retrieval of project drawings and specifications needed.45% (2) Performs field data collection, CAD base map development, design drafting, preparation of engineering specifications and drawings; performs and/or checks calculations, specifications development, field inspection, engineering design, and research technical applications; performs the reproduction of plans and the preparation, filing and retrieval of engineering maps, documents and records.Maintains required licensures and certification, if any.Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable safety standards that pertain to essential functions.Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:5% (3)Performs other related duties as assigned.Attends meetings, as directed; attends training and seminars, as directed.MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE CHARACTERISTICS: (*indicates developed after employment)Knowledge of: Agency policies and procedures; AutoCAD; drafting; plan production; surface model creation.Skilled in: Data collection; design drafting; engineering practices.Ability to:  Communicate effectively; interpret construction plans and related engineering documents.POSITIONS DIRECTLY SUPERVISED:None.Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS:  Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in related field; one (1) or more years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  None.

The Muskingum River - which is formed by the confluence of the Tuscarawas and Walhonding rivers at Coshocton, OH - empties into the Ohio River at Marietta. The system of reservoirs and dams in the watershed offers flood reduction and water conservation benefits to the region's property owners and residents. The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD), a political subdivision of the State of Ohio, was responsible for the development of the reservoirs and dams. Today the MWCD is dedicated to providing the benefits of flood reduction, water conservation and recreational opportunities in the Muskingum River Watershed.</div>
