This role will lead field operations with a focus on safety, quality, and schedule, ensuring successful site development from initial grading through final civil punch list. With nearly 2 GW of solar and battery energy storage projects we are well positioned for continued success in the rapidly growing clean energy sector. Civil Superintendent Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>Plan, organize, and direct the daily activities of civil crews, including equipment operators, laborers, and concrete/formwork teams</li><li>Review blueprints, project plans, and site conditions to develop effective strategies for excavation, grading, foundations, concrete placement, and other civil scopes</li><li>Supervise field crews to ensure work is performed according to project specifications, schedule, and safety standards</li><li>Enforce all job site safety protocols and regulatory compliance to ensure a safe work environment and prevent accidents</li><li>Monitor job progress and coordinate regularly with the Site Superintendent, Director of Construction, and Safety Manager to deliver accurate status updates</li><li>Conduct pre-construction planning, including site logistics, material staging, and crew scheduling</li><li>Manage civil materials, equipment, and deliveries to ensure timely arrival and cost-efficient purchasing</li><li>Oversee site preparation, including clearing, grading, and excavation, and ensure thorough cleanup and demobilization upon project completion</li></ul>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Provides coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.</li></ul>WORK ENVIORNMENT:<ul><li>Able to work and maneuver in a construction environment.</li><li>100% Field Work.</li><li>Working conditions: Outside work, noisy conditions, shift work, flexible hours, and schedules, not afraid of heights, standing long periods of time, extreme temperature conditions.</li></ul> TRAVEL:<ul><li>Ability and willingness to travel to various locations as required.</li></ul>Qualifications REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):<ul><li>Minimum 3 years of experience as a Civil Superintendent on heavy civil or utility-scale construction projects</li><li>Proven experience managing union civil subcontractors and navigating union work rules and coordination</li><li>Strong working knowledge of trenching, backfilling, and civil support for underground DC and medium-voltage (MV) cable installation</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in site grading, excavation, concrete, foundations, and structural work</li><li>Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings, specifications, and work packages</li><li>Excellent communication skills to interface effectively with subcontractors, site management, safety, and engineering teams</li><li>Strong focus on safety, quality control, and schedule adherence</li><li>Proficient in daily reporting, progress tracking, and site documentation</li><li>Must be able to lead and coordinate multiple crews while maintaining productivity and jobsite discipline</li><li>OSHA 30 certification preferred</li><li>Experience on renewable energy or electrical infrastructure projects is a plus</li></ul>
