At Booth &amp; Associates, we partner with utilities to solve high-impact challenges, from load forecasting and rate design to EV adoption and renewable integration.This role offers exceptional visibility to senior leadership, both within our company and at our clients’ organizations, and a path to leadership as you advise executives, boards, and cross-functional leaders on high-stakes planning and investment decisions.    <h2>What You’ll Do</h2><h3>1) Drive Advanced Analytics</h3>· Build and operationalize economic, rate, and load forecasting models using machine learning and deep learning.· Run scenario analysis for rate changes, consumer growth, and weather events; quantify financial impacts and risks.· Optimize peak demand planning and renewable resource integration to support client decarbonization goals.<h3>2) Architect Data Solutions (Data Warehouse/Cloud)</h3>· Advise utilities on data warehouse/lake/lakehouse strategy, modeling, and governance to maximize ROI.· Design robust pipelines and ELT/ETL patterns that integrate operational (OT) and enterprise (IT) data.· Gain executive and board-level exposure by translating data engineering best practices into business outcomes for senior stakeholders.<h3>3) Business Intelligence &amp; Dashboarding (Power BI)</h3>· Lead the design, development, and governance of Power BI dashboards and semantic models for executives, operations, planning, and regulatory reporting.· Build performant models (DAX, Power Query/M, star schemas), implement RLS/security, and establish versioning and refresh strategies.· Partner with client leaders to define KPIs and decision flows; ship dashboards that inform senior leadership and board discussions and drive measurable action.<h3>4) Innovate with Generative AI</h3>· Apply RAG, prompt engineering (e.g., CoT, ToT), and LLM-enabled retrieval to engineering and planning workflows.· Prototype copilots and knowledge systems that accelerate deliverables and drive efficiency for us and our customers<h3>5) Special Projects</h3>· Deliver high-visibility initiatives such as EV adoption forecasting, customer segmentation, targeted marketing campaigns, and causal impact evaluation of energy efficiency/DER programs.<h3>6) Application Development</h3>· Build user-facing tools that integrate power systems logic with analytics to help clients evaluate options, trade-offs, and risk.<h3>7) Collaborative Problem-Solving</h3>· Work closely with electrical engineers, planners, finance, and regulatory teams; translate complex insights into clear executive narratives and recommendations.Requirements  Required· Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science (or equivalent practical experience)· Power BI expertise: DAX, Power Query/M, dimensional/star schema modeling, dataflows, RLS, performance tuning, and dashboard lifecycle governance.· Strong programming: Python and SQL (R a plus).· Cloud &amp; data platforms: Azure/AWS/GCP (experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar).· Databases: PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL (or equivalent).· Proven experience building forecasting, simulation, or optimization models.· Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership and non-technical audiences.Nice to Have· Familiarity with utility/power systems tools: PSCAD, PSS/E, ETAP, CYME, Milsoft WindMil· Experience with MLOps/CI-CD (e.g., MLflow, model registries); DBT or orchestration (Dagster/Apache Airflow/Azure Data Factory)· Experience with Microsoft Fabric (or similar lakehouse)· Background in rate design, DSM/EE/DER programs, or data governance<h2> </h2><h2>Perks &amp; Benefits</h2>· Competitive salary + performance bonus· As one of the founding members of this department, you have an exceptional opportunity to join a new, growing team early on· Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and 401(k)· Flexible work environment· Professional development: certifications, conferences, and training· High-impact portfolio in AI-driven sustainability and grid modernization· Exceptional visibility to senior leadership (internal execs, client executives, and sometimes boards/regulators)· Collaborate with our international sister companies within the broader VINCI network of companiesDiscounted Employee Stock Purchase Program for VINCI (EPA: DG), the largest construction company in the world, based out of Paris, France  Sponsorships are not available.
