You will join the Materials&amp;Tribology team with strong knowhow on materials technology, NDT-methods and tribology.   We have in-house AM machinery for a wide range of polymer, composite, and metal materials located at our Sustainable Technology Hub (STH) in Vaasa. You are someone who thrives on collaboration and possesses the technical expertise to work across teams, optimizing systems, processes, and design interfaces to drive value and innovation. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure that AM solutions are not only feasible but also enhance overall system performance. Identify synergies and optimize interfaces across various systems and technologies.</li><li>System Integration and Optimization: Drive the integration of AM technologies into existing and new systems/manufacturing methods, ensuring that both individual components and their interfaces are optimized for seamless operation across different teams and functions (e.g., design, production, quality, supply chain). Maintain cost awareness in all tasks. </li><li>Develop and Validate AM Applications:  Participate in design/validation process of new AM applications by supporting the designers and performing material analysis for prototype components.</li><li>New Methodologies and Concepts: Innovate and develop new AM design methodologies and application concepts that support system-level objectives. Work with internal stakeholders to define specific needs and develop corresponding solutions.</li><li>Business Case Development: Develop comprehensive business cases for AM applications, demonstrating their value not only in isolation but also in the context of larger system performance improvements.
