Join our team and be part of the growing battery revolution. We are looking for a Finance Analyst / Associate, Cost Engineering to join immediately in-person in Seoul, Korea.  Responsibilities:<ul><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Serve as the analytical backbone of the company's strategic finance team, providing insights for future growth and strategy</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Report directly to the Senior Cost Engineer as part of Mitra Chem's lean full-time finance team that is cross-functional across Korea and the USA</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Provide cross-functional support with exposure to all aspects of the business</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Prepare detailed cost estimates for various projects</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Analyze project requirements and specifications</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Develop and maintain cost databases and pricing models</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Conduct cost-benefit analysis to support project decision-making</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Monitor and report on project budget performance</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Review financial reports and identify cost-saving opportunities</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Collaborate with procurement to manage supplier contracts and pricing</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Evaluate cost risks and develop mitigation strategies</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Prepare and submit cost control reports</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Performing monthly budgeting and re-forecasting for manufacturing projects</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Build and manage operational and projection models for various manufacturing projects and integrate with company operating model</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Support with fundraising efforts through diligence support and modelling efforts</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Assisting in supplier and customer contract negotiations</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">This role will have a fast growth path for the right individual who would like to support the cost engineering side of finance with a desire to grow into the strategic side quickly </li></ul> Qualifications:<ul><li style="list-style-type:disc;">2+ years of professional finance experience with a preference for investment banking, private credit, or private equity or working as part of a cost engineering team at a large conglomerate </li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Bachelor's degree in related field or relevant work experience</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Comprehensive understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling (key requirement)</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Ability to deconstruct often time ambiguous and complex problems, and drive to a data-driven and process driven solution</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting while keeping a high bar of accuracy and attention to detail</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Preference for Korean and English speaker</li><li style="list-style-type:disc;">Relentless sense of ownership, curiosity, and initiative and a self-starter mindset </li></ul> Mitra Chem is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
