Inspection, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment plus completion of associated preventive and maintenance records; The ability to use prints, schematics, detailed instructions and diagrams; The use of precision tools, machine tools, and hand tools is required.  As qualified, perform operating, maintenance and administrative functions at the West Side Hydro Generating Facility. Required to work rotating shifts with a minimum of supervision.DUTIES: (Essential Job Responsibilities)<ul><li>Monitor, maintain, operate, and test plant equipment and tools as qualified.</li><li>Represent the Company with vendors, other company organizations and regulators as assigned.</li><li>Operate plant systems including hydro turbines, generators, flow control structures and fish facilities.</li><li>Start, stop, and control equipment using proper procedures and system knowledge to safely and efficiently produce power while keeping equipment within design parameters.</li><li>Perform LOTO approver/Installer/Verifier duties in the field.</li><li>Use installed and portable test equipment and technical manuals to troubleshoot equipment and system problems as trained.</li><li>Perform administrative duties such as use of computer-based maintenance programs, data collection, report writing, utilization of relevant computer programs and write procedures.</li><li>Have primary responsibility for systems as assigned and conduct training sessions as assigned.</li><li>Continuously increase own knowledge level by independent study.</li><li>Operate forklifts as required and qualified.</li><li>Train to become a Technician II.</li><li>May be required to obtain or maintain a class A (with tanker endorsement) CDL as requested by management</li><li>Qualify on Timothy Lake, Harriet, Oak Grove, North Fork, Faraday and Rivermill Generating Plant systems and associated procedures within 6 months after employment. Must be capable of demonstrating this qualification by oral and written examination.</li><li>Participate in self-directed work teams. Provide and receive feedback on team and individual performance.</li><li>Perform Switching and Tagging as Directed by the System Dispatcher and Gen Tech III Control Operator.</li><li>Analyze plant conditions to determine the best course of corrective action.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS: (Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required)<ul><li>Minimum of one year of hydro experience or comparable position in operating a commercial generating facility.
