This role is based in our Markham in and reports to the <span>Senior Corporate Credit </span><span>Manager</span> .</p><p><br>Do not miss the opportunity to join a diverse group of people-centric professionals, thought leaders and rapid thinkers, entrepreneurs in spirit and status quo-fighters!</p><p></p><p><b>Job Summary</b></p><p>The Finance Intern - Credit Risk Analyst works in the Credit Department, using  a  variety  of analytical  techniques to  evaluate  the  risks  associated with  lending  to  consumers  and  to evaluate business risks.</p><p></p><p><b>Principal Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Manage daily credit reviews promptly by prioritizing external/internal needs.</p></li><li><p>Evaluate creditworthiness and assign credit limits and ratings based on risk. Seek next-level approval with credit recommendation as per dedication of authority.</p></li><li><p>Oversee daily orders on hold to determine whether to increase credit exposure or to hold future orders by conducting a rapid credit investigation.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate and guide Credit Administration to handle queries related to credit forms.</p></li><li><p>Analyze financial statements and various reports to make constructive credit decisions.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with Credit Analysts, Sales, Customer Service, customers, and external sources to be efficient with credit reviews.</p></li><li><p>Communicate with external/internal on credit requirements and decisions as needed.</p></li><li><p>Compile the Trade, Bank reference, and Credit report and compare it with the NACM and Credit Review Form.</p></li><li><p>Prepare  the  Credit  review  form  and  Extract  the  accounts  for  the  Senior  Credit  Risk Analyst. </p></li><li><p>Analyze and Evaluate financial data, Such as Balance sheets and income statements, to determine the level of default risk.</p></li><li><p>Manage daily credit reviews promptly by prioritizing external/internal needs.</p></li><li><p>Review and rate investments from the Credit report</p></li><li><p>Oversee  daily  orders  on  hold  to  determine  whether  to  increase  credit  exposure  or  to hold future orders by conducting a rapid credit investigation.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with Account Receivable Analysts, Sales, Customer Service, customers, and external sources to be efficient with credit reviews</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications &amp; Experience</b></p><ul><li><p>Registered Student in an Accounting, Finance, or any other related program</p></li><li><p>Comprehensive analytical skills and credit knowledge</p></li><li><p>Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally</p></li><li><p>Skilled to prioritize, organize and complete daily tasks promptly</p></li><li><p>Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Excel</p></li><li><p>Ability to evaluate credit decisions independently using multiple sources of information</p></li><li><p>Capability to strive in a fast-paced environment</p></li><li><p>Takes initiative and ownership of tasks</p></li><li><p>High attention to detail and ability to produce quality work within the deadline</p></li><li><p>Skilled to work independently and with a team</p></li><li><p>Technical Skills &amp; Experience </p></li><li><p>Working knowledge (Advanced level) of Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of analyzing the financial statement, preparing the Z score and Ratio</p></li><li><p>Available from September to December 2025</p></li></ul><p></p><p>IPEX is committed to providing accommodations for people with disabilities throughout the recruitment process and, upon request, will work with qualified job applicants to provide suitable accommodation in a manner that takes into account the applicant’s accessibility needs due to disability.
