Position OverviewApollo is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Analyst to become a key member of our Valuations team. In this role, you’ll help shape the day-to-day operations of the valuation function while coordinating impactful international projects alongside our Valuation Conducting Officer.This is a high-profile position where you’ll work directly with directors, senior stakeholders, and global colleagues. You’ll take ownership of improving processes, ensuring robust oversight, and delivering strategic business support—all while leading projects that influence our business worldwide.Primary Responsibilities<ul><li>Maintain valuation policies and procedures in line with AIFMD requirements and the AIFM’s internal governance framework</li><li>Ensure methodologies are appropriate, consistent, and documented for each asset class held by the funds</li><li>Oversee fair value assessments for all portfolio assets, including illiquid or hard-to-value holdings</li><li>Periodically review and enhance valuation frameworks to reflect market developments, accounting standards, and regulatory updates</li><li>Create summary materials highlighting significant changes/events, to be presented to the valuation committees for their review and approval of all valuations</li><li>Facilitate the Valuation Process in the Private Equity, Credit, FoF and Real Estate segments</li><li>Value financial instruments and complex corporate securities </li><li>Analyze equity/debt/commodities financial market data history and other quantitative techniques</li><li>Develop a deep technical strength in the valuation of alternative assets, serving as a firm resource for that expertise and sharing that knowledge throughout Apollo</li><li>Validate and update valuation models as well as inputs and assess applicable methodologies</li><li>Coordinate with third party valuation firms and deal teams to create accurate, timely valuations</li><li>Coordinate with the fund administration teams for the review and approval process of the reported NAVs for the AIFs under management</li><li>Perform advisory valuation services to various business units on an ad hoc basis</li><li>Generate detailed materials and responses for auditors, inquires and surveys</li><li>Prepare documentation in support of compliance with SOX and external audit requirements</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>3+ years of related work experience in the investment fund industry with an investment management company, or with strategic or financial consultants, or with an audit firm is required</li><li>Experience in building valuation models (DCF, Comp Multiple and Option Models)</li><li>Experience with capital markets/credit valuations preferred (ex. illiquid investments, bank loans, mezzanine loans, and equity)</li><li>Demonstrated technical, analytical and problem-solving skills under the pressure of tight deadlines</li><li>Experience in contributing to the planning and management of projects by defining goals, setting timelines and resolving roadblocks </li><li>Understanding of Alternative Investment strategies and products</li><li>Apply modeling techniques to challenging, real-world problems</li><li>Strong functional background working with excel</li><li>Familiarity with financial services applications (CapIQ, Bloomberg, etc.) a plus</li><li>Strong communication, reporting and presentation skills</li><li>Fluent in English (oral and written)</li><li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics</li><li>Finance, Valuations or Investment Banking training program preferred CFA professional designation or working towards preferred but not required</li></ul>About ApolloApollo is a high-growth, global alternative asset manager.
