About UsRecover Ag is an early-stage, mission-driven technology company dedicated to providing farmers with the information they need to thrive financially and personally while implementing farm management practices that promote a healthy ecosystem.&nbsp; We are developing a platform that harnesses the latest advances in remote sensing and artificial intelligence to measure with high accuracy and low cost the impact of farming practices on ecosystem health.&nbsp; We have demonstrated the ability of our platform to quantify change in soil carbon stocks with superior accuracy at lower cost than current measurement systems.&nbsp; We are extending the platform to measure other agricultural parameters including plant water and nutrient stress.To demonstrate the capabilities of our platform, we are partnering with the Oakville Bluegrass Cooperative to launch a carbon farming project with growers of permanent crops (grapes, tree nuts) in California.&nbsp; The coop manages outreach to growers.&nbsp; Recover Ag measures carbon stock change, manages regulatory and financial compliance requirements for carbon credit issuance, negotiates long-term purchase agreements with credit buyers, creates CDR credit portfolios and reports performance, and monitors project fields long-term to ensure the durability of carbon removal. Most of the revenue from CDR credit sales will be returned to growers.&nbsp; We provide a web application that project participants use to identify the fields where they are implementing carbon-storing practices, and that carbon removal credit buyers can use to monitor the performance of their portfolio.The RoleAs Product Manager you will drive the vision, strategy and release plan for the products and services our technology platform enables.&nbsp; You will lead our efforts to deeply understand the unmet needs and pain points of farmers and ecosystem service buyers (e.g. carbon removal credit buyers), identify the most likely early adopter customers, and define the features that will deliver customer value.&nbsp; You will survey the competitive landscape and define how we will use technology and product features to create sustainable advantage.&nbsp; You will work with the CEO to define the P&amp;L for a product and the size of the financial opportunity.&nbsp; You will create UI designs that are intuitive and easy to use, and partner with engineering to create release plans that implement features on time with high quality.&nbsp; You will coordinate gathering end-user feedback to validate that our implementation is meeting customer needs.&nbsp; You will work with marketing to develop compelling messages to communicate the benefits of our products and services.The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has:<ul><li>A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.</li><li>5+ years of experience in software product management, with a proven track record of successfully creating and launching software products.</li><li>Coursework or job experience in agronomy, and subject matter expertise in sustainable agriculture.</li><li>A strong understanding of agile development methodologies.</li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>The ability to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans.</li><li>Demonstrated that they can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.</li><li>Experience with user experience (UX) principles and design thinking.</li><li>A strong desire to make agriculture part of the solution to the environmental challenges we face.</li></ul>Compensation, Benefits, and Location The Product Manager will earn a base salary of $120,000 per year and equity compensation based on qualifications.&nbsp; Recover Ag provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, life, and long-term disability insurance.&nbsp; Employees receive 11 paid holidays and the organization does not limit paid time off provided it is planned, scheduled and approved.The Product Manager must reside in the United States to meet the terms of our National Science Foundation grant.&nbsp; The Product Manager must be able to travel easily to central California to enable extensive interaction with growers. The company is virtual, with employees residing in multiple locations in the western United States and the EU.
