You can read more about us in <a href="https://pacificfusion.com/updates/founders-letter">this letter from our founders</a>.<h1>About the Role</h1><h2>Job Overview:</h2>As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will architect and develop data acquisition systems and web front ends for Pacific Fusion’s growing need for full stack applications for recipe management, data acquisition, and data processing. This includes architecting and developing databases and database schemas, developing apis to access data, and front end react applications to manage and present data.<h2>Responsibilities:</h2><ul style=""><li>Design and implement database systems and schemas</li><li>Design and Create Figma or equivalent demos for UIs to get consensus for look and feel of the UI by stakeholders</li><li>Design and implement drivers for different instrumentation and other systems.</li><li>Work with all teams to deliver a platform that will fit the data and visualization needs.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications:</h2><ul style=""><li>7+ years experience in developing interactive web apps with React</li><li>Strong experience with data streaming and messaging systems<ul style=""><li>Kafka, MQTT, or strong experience with similar technologies</li></ul></li><li>Strong database systems knowledge<ul style=""><li>Timeseries, SQL, and NoSQL databases</li><li>InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, MongoDB, MariaDB or similar technologies</li></ul></li><li>Strong experience in back end application development<ul style=""><li>Golang, python, or strong experience with other similar languages</li></ul></li><li>Competency with CI/CD workflows and tooling</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills to carefully understand system requirements and efficiently enable end users to meet business objectives</li></ul><h2>Preferred but not required:</h2><ul style=""><li>Experience working in hard tech industries such as: fusion, aerospace, EVs, energy, robotics</li><li>Experience working closely with PhD scientists and R&amp;D technology organizations</li><li>Familiarity with database systems used for quantitative data</li></ul><h2>Benefits:</h2><ul style=""><li>Industry-competitive salary</li><li>Equity plan</li><li>6% employer 401k matching</li><li>Generous paid time off (including sick leave, vacation, paid family leave)</li><li>Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance</li></ul>Actual base salary offered will be determined by: experience, skills, and work location.
