AECOM is seeking a qualified and proactive Bilingual (english/french) Legal Counsel (Solicitor) to join our European Legal and Risk Management team. This position will report directly to the Senior Legal Counsel within our Europe and India Legal team and forms part of a collaborative and dynamic legal department that values strong cross-functional partnerships and business alignment.The successful candidate will provide strategic and practical legal support across a broad range of construction and infrastructure projects throughout Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile, nationally significant infrastructure developments while contributing to the continuous improvement of legal services at AECOM.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide legal advice and support across AECOM’s European business lines, managing a diverse portfolio of legal documentation related to engineering and construction projects.</li><li>Partner closely with project teams to deliver strategic legal counsel on major infrastructure initiatives.</li><li>Deliver training sessions and risk briefings to senior executives and business stakeholders on critical legal issues.</li><li>Support the implementation of innovative legal processes and promote best practices across the legal function.</li><li>Ensure compliance with AECOM’s governance framework, including corporate policies and information management protocols.</li><li>Advise on procurement strategies and methodologies.</li><li>Draft, review, and negotiate a range of construction-related legal agreements, including bespoke and standard form contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties/third-party rights, and documentation for UK and international projects.</li><li>Provide legal input on construction and design aspects of development agreements and finance-related documents, including bonds and guarantees.</li><li>Manage and liaise with external legal counsel, serving as the primary point of contact between external advisers and internal project stakeholders.</li><li>Contribute to the management and oversight of legal budgets.</li></ul>
