<div> Job Title: Transmission InternDepartment: Asset OperationsReports to: Manager, Transmission and Systems AnalysisEffective Date: September 2025Location: Remote Travel: None POSITION PURPOSE:   This is a paid temporary, non-exempt position that will report to the Manager, Transmission and Systems Analysis. the transmission Intern will use quantitative reasoning, problem solving, and programming skills to assist the transmission analysis team with improving fundamentals-based wholesale electricity price forecasting efforts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Build a fundamental understanding of wholesale energy price formation and KCE forecasting methods</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Implement Python code to adjust forecasting inputs on an automated basis</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Design and implement automated tests to ensure data quality</li><li style="margin-left:8px;">Compile and analyze information on ERCOT and NYISO market participants</li><li style="margin-left:8px;margin-bottom:4px;">All other duties as required </li></ul>WORK EXPERIENCE &amp; REQUIREMENTS: <ul><li style="margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:4px;">Pursuing degree in electrical engineering, mathematics, computer science, economics, or related field</li><li style="margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:4px;">Experience working with Python and SQL code</li><li style="margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:4px;">Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)</li><li style="margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:4px;">Ability to work in a small team</li><li style="margin-left:32px;margin-bottom:4px;">Strong organizational and time-management skills</li></ul> Physical Requirements: <ul><li style="margin-left:8px;">Prolonged periods of working at a computer</li></ul> </div>
