Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Asst Sourcing Manager to develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy for Mechanical commodities. This role will be instrumental in ensuring a resilient supply chain, driving cost reduction initiatives, and fostering supplier innovation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and manufacturing operations, particularly within the renewable energy sector.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop and implement a strategic sourcing plan for mechanical commodities in alignment with organizational goals.</li><li>Identify, evaluate, and establish partnerships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and high-quality supply chain.</li><li>Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee performance to meet quality standards and delivery timelines.</li><li>Continuously assess supplier performance in cost, quality, engineering support, and reliability, implementing corrective actions when necessary.</li><li>Drive innovation and cost reduction initiatives through supplier collaboration and process improvements.</li><li>Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and quality assurance, to align sourcing activities with production requirements.</li><li>Conduct cost analyses, identify opportunities for cost optimization, and implement strategies to enhance financial efficiency.</li><li>Ensure procurement processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.</li><li>Identify and mitigate risks related to sourcing and procurement, including supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and financial instability of suppliers.</li><li>Monitor industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and market availability to refine sourcing strategies.</li><li>Manage RFQs, support contract manufacturing services (CMS) negotiations, and handle escalations.</li><li>Oversee quarterly pricing cycles, inventory revaluation, non-recurring expenses (NREs), reconciliation, and capacity expansion.</li><li>Maintain supplier performance metrics and organize quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers.</li><li>Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability within the team.</li></ul>Required Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a strong focus on strategic sourcing for mechanical.</li><li>Proven experience managing a global supplier base and distributed teams.</li><li>Strong negotiation skills, analytical mindset, creativity, and effective communication abilities.</li><li>High level of autonomy and accountability for results.</li></ul>At Nextracker, we are leading in the energy transition, providing the most comprehensive portfolio of intelligent solar tracker and software solutions for solar power plants, as well as strategic services to capture the full value of solar power plants for our customers.
