In this role, you will ensure that our laboratory, workshops, and shared spaces are kept clean, safe, and well-organized — enabling our researchers and engineers to focus on developing solutions for a carbon-free future. How you'll contribute You will support our team with a variety of practical and organizational tasks, including:<ul><li>Handling laundry of lab coats and other textiles </li><li>Tidying and organizing the changing area </li><li>Collecting, cleaning, and storing visitor safety glasses </li><li>Loading and unloading laboratory and kitchen dishwashers </li><li>Organizing and storing clean laboratory glassware </li><li>Emptying and cleaning sample jars and drip trays </li><li>Cleaning Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) </li><li>Emptying trash cans and disposing of trash bags </li><li>Replacing the deionized water cartridge </li><li>Tidying up work areas and sorting parts in the upstairs warehouse </li><li>Supporting logistics, such as disposing of waste in the Stäubli hall containers</li><li>Assisting with company events, e.g., townhall and team event clean-up</li></ul> About you <ul><li>You are reliable, hands-on, and enjoy practical work </li><li>You are organized and detail-oriented in keeping spaces tidy and safe </li><li>You have good handcrafting or manual skills, and enjoy working with tools and materials </li><li>You are comfortable working independently as well as part of a team </li><li>You can communicate fluently in either German or English </li><li>Previous experience in facility support, lab assistance, housekeeping, or craftsmanship is a plus</li></ul> What we offer <ul><li>A supportive and friendly team environment </li><li>The chance to contribute to our mission of freeing the world from fossil fuels — by keeping our labs and operations running efficiently</li></ul> Noteworthy points This role cannot be done fully remotely. GCT operates a low energy DAC approach to capture CO2 while generating hydrogen as a byproduct. The process consists of 3 main process steps. Absorption in a liquid, precipitation and desorption through alkaline electrolysis. The technology is based on 15 years of research with relevant patent applications filed and working prototypes.
