This role focuses on selling professional engineering, testing, and environmental services by identifying prospects, cultivating leads, and managing the end-to-end sales process. Working closely with operations, marketing, and technical teams, the representative plays a critical role in promoting UES’s specialized solutions in environmental and earth sciences, sustainable infrastructure, and geophysical technologies.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Execute sales goals set by the Branch Manager and Regional Sales Manager and use these as guidelines for daily sales activities.</li> <li>Schedule and execute face-to-face (in-person and virtual) sales meetings.</li> <li>Support the sales and marketing teams.</li> <li>Generate sales that meet company margin objectives by communicating with and identifying leads, referrals, and add-on opportunities.</li> <li>Ensure lead times and communication quality are maintained to control and plan workflows effectively.</li> <li>Use sales reporting and planning tools to manage time and sales efforts efficiently.</li> <li>Maintain field presence with new and existing clients to support sales and customer development and cultivate referral business and relationships.</li> <li>Assist with proposal preparation, deliver and follow-up on proposals, and complete RFPs and vendor application requests. </li> <li>Identify and qualify prospective clients. </li> <li>Identify and pursue major potential projects through contract execution. </li> <li>Assist and attend selected marketing and networking events both during the day and occasionally in the evenings and weekends. </li> <li>Travel locally for sales meetings with clients. </li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communication, Marketing, Science, Construction or related field. </li> <li>3+ years of work experience, preferably in a sales, marketing or customer focused role.</li> <li>Ability to foster and maintain good relationships at all levels, with prior supervisory experience.</li> <li>Comfort with industry technologies, as well as standard office and collaboration software.</li> <li>Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to deliver and communicate goals, programs, and solutions.</li> <li>Highly adaptable with exceptional listening, reading, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and Teams with the ability to learn additional software systems. </li> <li>Proficiency in written and verbal communication and presentations. </li> <li>Proactive approach to sales opportunities with the ability to build relationships through a personable approach. </li> <li>Strong multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record. </li></ul><h2>Travel Requirements</h2><ul> <li>This position requires occasional travel, up to 50% of the time, to support business objectives and client engagements.</li> <li>Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on project needs.</li> <li>Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may be conducted in outdoor or operational environments.</li> <li>Adherence to all company safety protocols and use of PPE is required during travel and on-site work.</li></ul><h2>Physical Demands &amp; Work Environment</h2><ul> <li>This position primarily operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to work at a desk for extended periods while using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment.</li> <li>The position involves sitting for extended periods, performing data entry, and engaging in frequent communication via email, phone, and in-person interactions.</li> <li>The role involves regular communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders, both in person and through virtual platforms.</li> <li>The physical demands of the job may include occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of office materials up to 15 pounds.</li></ul><p>#LI-MD1</p><p>#Office</p><p>#Hybrid</p><h2>EEO Statement</h2><p><strong>UES is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is proud to recruit the most qualified candidates.
