This position requires in-depth knowledge and experience, partnering with technical and externally-facing staff and all levels of an organization, coordinating complex communications internally and externally, working independently with minimum guidance.Responsibilities<ul><li>Creating and managing a strategic engagement plan</li><li>Preparing and coordinating external written communications to property owners and other stakeholders, response, dispatch and tracking of external project inquiries, and monitoring and tracking project information</li><li>Engaging and informing key internal stakeholders of the projects taking place and works to ensure a smooth execution of projects</li><li>Participating in project team meetings including field reviews, pre-construction meetings and customer interaction in the field</li><li>Working with local Government &amp; Community Relations Managers to determine appropriate public engagement strategy</li><li>Organizing external communications such as letters, collateral and presentations as needed in coordination with internal communications departments, internal management, legal, engineering, etc.</li><li>Coordinating the printing and mailing of external communications</li><li>Monitoring property owner inquiries on assigned projects and manage response and documentation</li><li>Leading in the preparation and implementation of public information meetings</li></ul></div>Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree</li><li>In addition to bachelor's degree, five (5) years minimum of related work experience</li><li>In lieu of bachelor's degree, high school diploma/GED AND seven (7) years minimum of related work experience</li></ul>Specific Requirements:<ul><li>Valid driver's license</li></ul>Desired Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience presenting and communicating with external audiences</li><li>Adept at dealing with a variety of individuals and escalated situations</li><li>Community involvement experience in a personal or professional capacity</li><li>Experience designing/executing communications plans</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills</li><li>Proficient in principles of project management</li><li>Prior experience in electric transmission and distribution</li><li>Experience in the utility industry</li><li>Demonstrated organizational and planning skills</li><li>Customer-specific experience</li><li>Demonstrated negotiation experience</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications</li><li>Ability to lead cross functional teams</li><li>Demonstrated problem solving and conflict management skills</li><li>Ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees, management, customers, vendors and service providers in both business and social settings</li><li>Experience in working with community organizations in a professional capacity</li><li>Experience in working with mid-level, senior level management and their support staffs</li><li>Experience with project and event planning</li><li>Previous budget management experience</li><li>Experience in supporting economic development opportunities.</li><li>Experience with project management scheduling software.</li></ul>Working Conditions<ul><li>Available for travel and to support after hours events</li><li>Frequent travel to construction sites to meet with crews and customers</li><li>Available to serve in an “on-call” basis</li><li>Hybrid mobility classification - work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period.
