<div>As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will work on cross-functional teams within Fluence’s Product team developing safe, high performing, reliable, and cost effective energy storage products.</div><div><br></div><div>Responsibilities:</div><div>•Work as a lead systems engineer on multi-disciplinary teams of engineers to design and deliver MW-scale energy storage products</div><div>•Collaborate with product management team to define and prioritize product features and high level product technical requirements</div><div>•Develop detailed system-level and subsystem hardware and software requirements, making use of common industry requirements management tools</div><div>•Provide technical leadership in a collaborative process with product managers to determine allowable product configurations and product roadmap</div><div>•Conduct product safety assessments, failure mode analyses, risk assessments, and hazard assessments (i.e. DFMEA, FMEA, HARA)</div><div>•Lead design trade-off studies to optimize between design flexibility, capital cost, operating cost, functionality, performance, maintainability, and continuity with existing Fluence products</div><div>•Incorporate lessons learned from previous product deployments and testing into product requirements</div><div>•Develop product design documents, customer documentation, and user manuals</div><div>•Create interface control documents and boundary diagrams</div><div>•Develop product verification plans and system level test cases and coordinate with Fluence lab team to determine full scale system testing strategy</div><div><br></div><div>Qualifications:</div><div>•Passion for energy storage, product development, and collaborative engineering</div><div>•Track record of taking ownership over complex technical challenges and leading others from problem identification to solution</div><div>•Bachelors' or Masters’ degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar</div><div>•8+ years industry experience, with background in renewable energy systems, power conversion, energy storage, PV, power systems control, or similar field</div><div>•Technical knowledge in broad area of engineering disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Controls Systems, Safety, Test/Validation)</div><div>•Experience developing products to meet safety standards. Familiarity with energy storage standards (i.e. UL9540, IEC62933) is a plus</div><div>•Experience developing large scale battery energy storage products is a plus</div><div>•Strong problem-solving skills</div><div>•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written</div><div>•Willingness to travel</div><br><br><br>
