BETA is seeking a passionate, outside-the-box thinker who will design, implement, and improve assembly processes for Alia manufacturing.  You will work with a bright and motivated cross-functional team, and deliver turnkey solutions to enable aerospace production at rate.  Your work will bring the highest safety, quality, and efficiency while reducing overall, long-term costs.  Your level of involvement will begin in the design phase of new programs all the way to stable, reliable production.</span></div><br><br><h3>How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation: </h3><ul><li>Drive/lead designated areas and ensure success through the certification process</li><li>Work with the design and production team to develop manufacturing processes and procedures as product design changes.</li><li>Design of manufacturing equipment; Assy fixtures, jigs, etc.</li><li>Develop equipment specifications, Request for Quote (RFQs), and requirements based on product constraints</li><li>Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM), 3D design concept, solution, and direction</li><li>Lead and be involved in design reviews and provide design guidance to vendors</li><li>Manage equipment suppliers to deliver a capable line when needed</li><li>Identify and work with external Engineering contractors during conception, bid, and project execution phases as needed</li><li>Participate in on-field installation and commissioning of equipment as Point of Contact  (POC) and project manager to ensure timely and accurate work is performed for the line(s) you design</li><li>Accountable for equipment validation and transition handoff to the production team with all necessary training and documentation</li></ul><h3>Minimum Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>BS in engineering</li><li>Minimum 3 years of related experience in a technology-based industry</li><li>Ability rapidly concept, design, build, implement, and iterate production-capable processes</li><li>Experience designing/sourcing automated manufacturing equipment and processes</li><li>Familiar with integrating machines and equipment into a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to create a cohesive manufacturing system.</li><li>Familiarity with electrical safety standards</li><li>Experience introducing new equipment and new processes into a manufacturing environment</li><li>Well organized with meticulous attention to detail</li><li>Comfortable with frequent changes of direction, dynamic work environment, and a track record of performing under pressure</li><li>Exceptional project management and leadership skills</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li></ul><h3>Above and Beyond Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>5-10 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Experience in electric motor manufacturing</li><li>Ability to create detailed drawings for fabrication</li><li>Experience in designing, project managing, and landing manufacturing lines from beginning to end </li></ul><br><div><span style="font-size:18px;"><b>Build electric airplanes with us!</b></span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">We encourage all driven candidates to apply, even if they do not meet every listed qualification.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">We are an equal opportunity employer.
