The primary focus will be on power system modeling, and strong candidates will have deep familiarity with running and interpreting capacity expansion and production cost (unit commitment and dispatch) models at both national and sub-national scales. In addition to being able to initialize and run relevant models effectively, candidates should be able to clearly explain the assumptions and boundary conditions used in modeling and describe the implications of the results to stakeholders, such as corporate sustainability officers and investment professionals. Familiarity with energy system modeling beyond the electricity sector is a plus. Our work environment is collaborative, fast-paced, and may require travel.
