This person will lead other technicians, run a world-class electronics R&amp;D lab and contribute to Joby's success with their own work on electronics and wire harness assembly, debugging and repair. </p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Recruit, retain and manage a small talented team of electronics technicians Keep a world-class lab space where engineers and technicians can do their bestwork and always have the tools and space they need </li> <li>Organize labor so that both long term strategic projects and short term critical tasks get the attention they need</li> <li>Demonstrate and train others on best practices in wire harness assembly, debug and repair</li> <li>Demonstrate and train others on best practices in circuit board assembly, debug and rework</li></ul><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>7+ years of experience as an electronics technician responsible for circuit debug, hands-on circuit board work and hands-on wire harness work </li> <li>2+ years of experience as a team lead, manager, or mentor of electronic technicians</li> <li>AS degree in Electronics or Vocational Certificate. Military training and experience with avionics, maritime electronics or radio electronics welcomed. </li> <li>Proven track record of leading complex projects efficiently and effectively</li> <li>Excellent communication skills – able to communicate complicated technical data/concepts efficiently </li> <li>Proficiency with using electronic and wire harness test equipment </li> <li>May need to travel 10% for field equipment support </li> <li>Experience working from schematics and assembly drawings</li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><ul> <li>Experience with electric powertrains (power electronics, battery systems, motors/actuators) </li> <li>Experience with high voltage electronics</li> <li>Lock-out-tag-out procedure experience</li> <li>Shop or lab management experience</li></ul><h2>Additional Information</h2><p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $90,168 - $120,225/yr.
