This position will, in collaboration with the Financial Reporting &amp; Technical Accounting team and Accounting Managers, work with commercial and finance professionals across the organization to support and analyze transactions and their related disclosure requirements. Key Accountabilities<ul> <li>Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS (i.e., footnote support schedules, tie-outs and disclosure checklists)</li> <li>Perform or assist with ad-hoc or special projects as assigned</li> <li>Prepare equity roll forward at individual project and consolidated level</li> <li>Review accounting transactions for disclosure requirements</li> <li>Review contracts for purposes of identifying potential accounting issues or commitments/contingencies</li> <li>Assist in month-end and quarter-end close processes and record journal entries</li> <li>Assist in consolidation of trial balances and identifying intercompany variances</li> <li>Support external and internal audit related activities</li> <li>Review and aggregate financial statement variance analysis</li> <li>Collaborate with other departments to gain a working knowledge of operations affecting financial and management reporting</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2>Experience/Qualifications/Education Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting. A CPA certification is highly desirable. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in public accounting or a combination of public accounting and industry experience. An understanding of US GAAP accounting standards is required, with a GAAP technical accounting research skill-set with broad knowledge and experience of external reporting requirements. Experience in the power generation or energy industry and knowledge of applicable industry accounting standards and interpretations is highly desirable, but not required. Additional RequirementsExperience with the following systems/tools is preferred:<ul> <li>Oracle Cloud</li> <li>Workiva</li> <li>Blackline</li></ul>Technical Skills<ul> <li>Financial reporting experience through public accounting or industry experience, SEC highly desirable.</li> <li>Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret accounting rules and guidance as well as perform research and conduct investigations as necessary.</li></ul> The expected starting pay range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
