Job DescriptionThe MBA Associate will learn on the job from day one – we want to ensure a meaningful, challenging and productive summer. There will be many opportunities to demonstrate your skills, abilities and passion around investing and insurance. The MBA Associate will be expected to take a central role in the financial modeling and analysis supporting the team’s investment process and will work closely with junior and senior team members on the execution of investments with a primary focus on insurance and broader financial services opportunities. In particular, the MBA Associate will work directly with the M&amp;A team to:<ul><li>Conduct comprehensive research to support the development of investment strategies and to identify transaction opportunities</li><li>Coordinate transaction execution or other necessary logistics and perform business due diligence</li><li>Assist with the preparation of presentations, memos, and other analyses to support new and existing investments</li><li>Work independently in the development of financial models including valuation, M&amp;A and credit modeling</li><li>Participate in all aspects of investment transactions, as requested by team members</li><li>Collaborate with our insurance operating businesses on value-creation initiatives</li><li>Prepare presentations and other marketing materials for the broader team or investors</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Currently working towards an MBA degree</li><li>Prior experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit or distressed credit</li><li>Growing understanding of applied investment and valuation analysis &amp; financial modeling</li><li>Expert with MS Office (MS Excel, PowerPoint)</li><li>Strong quantitative and analytical skills &amp; attention to detail</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills</li><li>Entrepreneurial spirit</li></ul>Brookfield is committed to maintaining a Positive Work Environment that is safe and respectful; our shared success depends on it.  Accordingly, we do not tolerate workplace discrimination, violence or harassment.We are proud to create a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
