This role plays a critical part in building conceptual design and functional implementation, ensuring experimental designs are built, tested, and iterated efficiently. This person is also essential in sustaining activities. This is an onsite role. Your Responsibilities<ul><li>Assemble and test prototypes to validate design concepts and ensure functionality aligns with engineering specs during the development cycle in collaboration with electrical and mechanical engineers. </li><li>Assist in PCBA modifications and rework to implement design revisions and correct functional or manufacturing issues by performing component swaps, jumper installations, etc.</li><li>Regularly conduct electrical testing and validation to ensure product prototypes meet voltage, current, timing, and thermal requirements using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, power supplies, and other tools to measure and log data.</li><li>Continuously maintain lab equipment and calibration by organizing tools, maintaining test stations, keeping calibrations current, and coordinating repairs or replacement, thus ensuring a safe, accurate, and productive working environment. </li><li>Document test procedures and results after each test cycle or build to create a traceable and reproducible development history that supports future design decisions and certification. </li><li>Assist with the automation of frequently run tests under the supervision of firmware and electrical engineers.</li><li>Support release of engineering change orders (ECO) by assisting in modifying drawings, updating bills of material (BOM), and implementing hardware changs to implement controlled design changes during the product life cycle and maintain product integrity. </li><li>When needed, debug and troubleshoot electronics circuits by isolating issues in analog, digital and mixed signal circuits using diagnostic tools and schematics to identify root cause of failures. </li><li>On-site visits to install, monitor, maintain, and replace field equipment.</li></ul>Skills/Qualifications<ul><li>Associate degree or technical diploma in Electronics.</li><li>5+ years of experience in an electronics lab or R&amp;D setting.</li><li>Strong proficiency in soldering, including surface mount down to 0402, reading technical drawings and schematics and using test equipment.</li><li>Flexibility to work on field work/troubleshooting in resource constrained environments.</li><li>Familiarity with PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad) is a plus. </li><li>Experience with conformal coating or chemicals related to PCBA processing is a plus.</li><li>Ability to follow complex procedures, prioritize tasks, and document results accurately.</li><li>Detail oriented with hands-on problem-solving mindset. </li><li>Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000*Base salary only. Salary is dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.**Additional compensation may include equity, bonuses, stipends, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and long-term disability insurance.
