You will lead the&nbsp;mechanical design and testing&nbsp;of modules for&nbsp;Energy Storage Batteries,System Controllers,&nbsp;Accessories, and&nbsp;IoT-based products.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Design and develop electro-mechanical products using&nbsp;polymers, metals, and rubbers, interfacing with&nbsp;PCBs&nbsp;and&nbsp;high-power components.</li><li>Plan, perform, analyze, and report&nbsp;design verification testing (DVT)&nbsp;using both in-house and external labs and preparing high quality reports</li><li>Investigate and resolve&nbsp;field failures and identify&nbsp;cost-reduction opportunities.</li></ul>&nbsp;<a></a><a></a>&nbsp;What you will do:&nbsp;<ul><li><a></a>Design, Validation and Testing of new Electromechanical products sometimes as sole contributor and often as part of a team of contributors.</li><li>Work with Cross functional team and provide quick solutions ensuring quality</li><li>Manage assigned mechanical projects, adhering to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards. </li><li>Perform day-to-day tasks like Design Concepts and documentation, CAD (3D &amp; 2D) activities, Testing and reports, DoE, CAPA, 8D, DFMEA etc</li><li>In-depth knowledge on Design Principles and good understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM) of parts made through injection moulding, sheet metal, stamping, Casting, milling/turning etc</li><li>Product design &amp; testing (DVT) , Testing proof-of-concepts and prototypes for performance</li><li>Coordinate and Preparing mechanical mock-ups, Prototypes, Electro-mechanical assemblies, Cable Assemblies </li><li>Design and execute comprehensive test plans (Inhouse and external lab) to verify mechanical performance against design specifications, including static and dynamic loading, fatigue testing, environmental testing, and reliability testing. Analyze test data, identify potential issues, and implement design improvements</li><li>Failure analysis and root cause identification</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;Who you are and what you bring:&nbsp;<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree (or higher qualification) in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates holding Masters in Product Design from IISc /Postgraduate on Tool Engineering/Tool Design/Product Design from NTTF/GTTC&nbsp;or Similar is a plus</li><li>12+ Years of experience in Electromechanical Product Design (Min of 8+ years (with BE / BS) or 6+ years (with Masters) of relevant work experience&nbsp;in product design, development &amp; testing) </li><li>Ability to plan, lead and drive the Design and DVT tasks and activities independently with minimal supervision/oversight.</li><li>Experience in SolidWorks and EPDM. Knowledge on any other CAD packages will be an added advantage.</li><li>Hands on is preparing mechanical mock-ups, Prototypes, Electro-mechanical assemblies, Cable Assemblies and test sample preparation</li><li>Hands on Experience on Design &amp; testing Electromechanical products </li><li>Hands on Experience on plastics, Sheetmetal, casting part design and manufacturing process</li><li>Good understanding on cable assemblies, ECAD/MCAD integrations</li><li>Good exposure on structural and thermal design considerations</li><li>Experienced on DFX for high volume production. Experience in the design and sustaining activities on high-volume products (+500k pa) would be a plus&nbsp;and also&nbsp;previous employment in high-power and consumer products industries would be a plus.</li><li>Good exposure on prototype techniques for Design development and verification</li><li>Exposure to electrical and electronic testing with knowledge on thermocouple instrumenting and connecting to Data logging equipment for capturing test data.</li><li>Knowledge of DFMEA and DFR would be an added advantage.</li><li>Good exposure on UL/IEC and related standards.
